Chandru Bolaki

Mr. Chandru Bolaki is the Technical Director of the Asia/Pacific Technology Center of CommWorks Corporation (A 3Com Company). Mr. Bolaki spearheaded the strategic plan and technology and business model for the Center, and led the effort to establish a world-class telecom lab at the Center in Bangalore, India. The Center will initially host R&D and Professional Services projects, particularly those that benefit CommWorks growing Asia/Pacific customer base. Currently, Mr. Bolaki directs both the technical strategy and plans for the projects in the Center as well as the execution of these projects with the different teams in the CommWorks and 3Com organization.

Prior to this assignment, Mr. Bolaki was Director of the Network Engineering organization over the past 5 years for CommWorks, going back to its inception as the networking division of US Robotics, which merged with 3Com in 1997. The Network Engineering organization was chartered with providing worldwide trial and escalation support to CommWorks customers across our market leading Remote Access Server (RAS), Wireless Access and Voice over IP and Softswitch product lines. In this role, Mr. Bolaki led the successful worldwide rollout of US Robotics X2 technology, which was the first to support 56K modem speeds, and led to the creation of the V90 standard.

Prior to US Robotics and 3Com, Mr. Bolaki spent 7 years at IBM in Rochester, Minnesota and Bangalore, India. At IBM, he had responsibility for the Application Solutions Group in Bangalore, India and also managed several key development teams in the database and networking areas for the AS/400 and S/36 at Rochester, Minnesota.

Mr. Bolaki has a MBA from Oklahoma State University, a M.S. in Computer Science from Iowa State University, and a B.Com from St. Joseph’s Commerce College in Bangalore.
